Customer Service Specialist

OrthAlign, Inc., a small yet growing medical device company, has an immediate opening for a Customer Service Specialist responsible for the complete sales order entry process and who will serve as the primary internal contact for OrthAlign’s customers and distributors. The position is also responsible for tracking field consignment inventories, following-up on purchase orders, and resolving other outstanding issues.

YOU WILL

  • Process all incoming orders via Delivered Order Form (DOF) or Direct Order using Expandable, Excel, email, and telephone.
  • Process Customer Experience Report (CER) forms, warranty units and instruments, and other instrument replacements.
  • Resolve customer issues with tact and fact, being clear and concise in communication.
  • Perform follow-up on Purchase Orders (POs) and other missing information in a timely manager.
  • Work with Sales, Marketing, RA/QA, and Operations to fulfill internal product requests.

YOU NEED

  • Basic knowledge of an ERP system (preferred)
  • Experience or knowledge of consignment inventory (preferred)
  • Current software/computer skills using Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Thorough attention to detail
  • High degree of accuracy with data entry
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Ability to work as a team as well as independently
  • Tenacious follow-up
  • Simple math skills
  • Good memory

Electrical Engineer

OrthAlign, Inc., a small yet growing medical device company, has an immediate opening for a Electrical Engineer responsible for designing and developing the electronics in new medical devices and maintaining current designs.

Using your Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience in medical device R and D, you’ll work with a team developing computer assisted surgical devices for the benefit of both the patient and surgeon.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Define hardware requirements
  • Design and develop hardware, circuit boards, and electronic systems
  • Create digital and analog design utilizing sensors
  • Define component specification and selection for system integration
  • Create detailed engineering specifications, schematics, board layouts, etc.
  • Coordinate integration of mechanical electrical subsystems
  • Perform product validation, performance evaluation and verification
  • Design packaging including selection of materials and interconnects

Your experience must include:

  • Understanding of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth radios, and Li-ion batteries
  • Circuit design, module integration, PCB layout and fabrication, debugging circuitry, etc.
  • Board bring-up, hardware/software integration and trouble-shooting
  • Development of real-time embedded controller device
  • Functional knowledge of the systems engineering field and regulatory aspects

Sr. Design Quality Engineer

OrthAlign, Inc., a small yet growing medical device company, has an immediate opening for a Sr. Design Quality Engineer responsible for performing design quality activities and supporting on-market products, new product development, and continual process improvement initiatives.

Using your Bachelors degree and your 5+ years of experience in medical device/operation, you’ll interpret and apply your knowledge of ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and 21 CFR Part 820 to design controls, risk management, and statistical controls.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Provide quality assurance input and review of design and development planning, inputs/outputs of development, design reviews, design validation and verification, human factors analysis, design history file and device master record development and maintenance.
  • Drive risk management file establishment and maintenance throughout the product life-cycle. Assist in establishing hazards list, assessing severity of harm and ensuring consistency between risk management files on systems.
  • Lead CAPA investigations and support CAPA investigation teams relating to product functionality and design improvement. Support audits of the quality management system, specifically relating to Design Control, Risk Management, CAPA, Complaints, and related processes.
  • Assist the development team in creating, optimizing and validating mechanical and analytical test methods.
    Supporting regulatory submissions by reviewing content for accuracy and comprehensiveness.
  • Identify, propose and drive opportunities for improvement, including review and revision of procedures and associated documents.
